Day 289I cycled to to pick up the car but it started to pour so I didn't do any sketch. Instead I snatched an opportunity while waiting for a restaurant meal at the Yacht Club - there was a procession of couples clutching tickets for a Valentine's Day dinner cruise. This fellow looks as if he's already eying off someone else! 12 km cycle

Hope you had a happy Valentine's Day - we just went to Red Rooster for lunch and skipped the Rotary dinner to save money for our trip.
Hope your valentines day was better than mine, although I did get a complimentary heart chocolate with my coffee.
I can't bear how the card manufacturers and commercial concerns have taken over this and so many other days, so I don't care if I don't get anything - in fact I think I'd rather receive a romantic gesture on almost any other day of the year. You see he's only taking his lady to the cruise because he feels pressurised to do so and his heart really isn't in it!
