Day 262Looking north, across the lake to Regatta Point and the Exhibition building for the design and development of Canberra. A map of Australia, painted on the grass ready for Australia Day on 26 January, and the fountain. I cycled round the lake before it got too hot and stopped in a shady spot to do this view. Then back to a closed-up, stuffy but cool house. 17 km cycle

I like the colors and the composition in this one. It reminds me that I've discovered another Australian artist yesterday when I went to buy a new calendar: Ken Done. Do you like his work? It said on the calendar he is Australia's most popular artist. His work is somewhat decorative but it appeals to me.
