Day 231
A busy day - taking Mum out in the morning - to the braes of Scotland this time, as well as the local markets where we people watch - lots of wheelchair lifting in and out of the car - not a good form of exercise. Then cooking Sunday roast for the Family - Finnian is home, safe and sound with lots of sea stories, and a yearning to go again. So it was evening again when I got around to the daily search for something to draw - "don't try this at home" :) 4 km cycle

Oh I love it! wonderful idea but no I wouldnt try it. although much to the amazement of my grandchildren i can still ride a bike, although not with gears. I think I learnt at 7 and spent all my school years and some riding a bike.
Spent today getting a walker in and out of the car, easier than a wheel chair.
Oh that is brilliant! I absolutely love it!
I'm useless at bike riding, no balance, no confidence, little road-sense. I didn't learn to ride a bike until I was grown up so my favourite type of cycling is on the back of a tandem. (Which Robin says is what will have to do instead of life insurance if he pops off before me, because there are so many tandem-owning men desperate for a partner!)
Well, Julie, It's good that Robin has a back-up plan for you. I'll look out for half empty tandems then, if Ralph pops off too soon - actually we could do with one now - he rides too fast for me - and I could easily sketch and ride if I was sat behind him, at least when not going up hill.
Penny - I never could believe that my Granny could ride a bike but of course she was born in the days before motor cars and cycled everywhere (though she skied to school in Switzerland in Winter.
What fun - and you have lots more stories to tell of just one day in your life!
I once rode a bike to high school and - wearning a brand new uniform, tried to race over a newly tarred road. Well, you can guess what happened! That was the only day I heard my mother swear!
W.
I love the perspective! Thanks for the warning!
I hope the other foot was on the ground? I could never ride and draw at the same time unless I was on my stationary bike--hey that's an idea--I wonder if I could draw while I ride on that?
