I cycled into town today to inspect the new library. It's opposite the Legislative Assembly where protestors were just hearing the news that about 20 local schools are to be closed.

Through this blog, I am joining Julie Oakley and others around the world, in a daily excursion, by foot or bike, stopping along the way to do a sketch.

Wow Alison, you're getting really good at drawing people. I really need to work on this myself.
I really like all of these very much - they're so recognisable as 'types' I particularly like the chap with the beige trousers - looks as if he could do with joining us.
Love, love changes everything....
Or is she looking for 'kutu' in his hair?
Lovely sketch.

I agree with Hashi, Alison, your people are getting better and better.Love the one before as well, what goes on in Canberra!
A few spots of rain a few minutes ago, but I think that is all we will get. Smells lovely.
These are great--especially when viewed at full size so you can see all the interesting details. What size are the originals in your sketchbook?
