Day 158First ducklings of the season. I walked the loop in a horrible warm wind. There is a bushfire in the southern end of the ACT - a controlled burn got out of control but is supposedly not a threat to Canberra. The brown blobs in this pond are the beginnings of water lillies which will be beautiful if the drought doesn't dry up the pond before they get to flower. 6 km walk

I love your little ducklings--they're so cute! I saw some last spring at the lake and they were all a sort of yellow greenish color from the "duckweed" algae that grows there occasionally (and which they eat and is good for them).
Sorry to hear about your crossness, but glad to hear it went.
