Day 133
Today Hashi and her daughter, Rhea, came to visit. Hashi's mum died peacefully early this morning. I showed them my quilts then we walked the loop with an extension to Hermione's bench, then back home for a cuppa and lemon cake made from the last of Hermione's lemons. I wish you other walking members and regular walking blog vistors could have been here. It was lovely - I didn't feel as if I'd just met Hashi at all. After they left, I sketched the remains of the cake, teapot and mugs. Hashi has put a photo of us on her blog. 8 km

This post is so moving and I look forward to the picture, though your words painted a lovely picture nonetheless. What really strikes me is how, contrary to what some might say about people making "friends" on the internet, that we really do develop caring relationships with our online art friends.
Oh what a shock and how sad, though I am so pleased that you met up with each other.
We sure need friends, compassion these days in our unfriendly world.
About the pics. I have trouble sending pics at times. Some are accepted, others not. I sent a turtle pic and a fish pic, no. Then it took the seasnake. Peceli said it was mana - supernatural power - because the seasnake is a totem.

I agree with Jana, I think we develop caring relationships even if we havent actually physically met, and how sad for Hashi but how wonderful that you could meet.
This touches my heart, Alison. I was going to e-mail you this morning and ask if you knew how Hashi was doing. The care for each other between friends that have never met is so amazing. It is one of the very best things about the internet.
