Day 321
The usual wheelchair lifting excursion this morning. Whilst serving dinner, I took hold of a plate that had been near a flame and had one very hot edge - seared five fingers but thanks to 5 hours of freezer blocks and bowls of cold water, have only one inch-long blister. After dinner, I decided I may as well walk to Hermione's bench. I cannot imagine the pain that must result from even moderate-sized burns! 6 km walk

Ouch Alison, hope it feels better now, had a son who walked through a burning heap in his rubber boots aged about 2, all the degrees of burns but john filled his boot with water from the dam and no scarring.
Nice hand.

So sorry about the hand but relieved you stopped the possibility of a severe burn.

That must have been so painful! I guess when we suffer something like that, we can emphathize with those who experience traumas.

I did comment on this at the time but blogger was having a hissy fit and I had to give up in despair. Thank goodness you did all the right things - we all seem to know what to do these days don't we, rather than slathering burns and scalds with butter as our grandmothers did.
