Day 312
I cycled off from the house at 3.00pm and, via a lot of hills, got to Mum's by 4.00. After a cup of tea, Mum and I went strolling down by the lake. She spied this row of portaloos which has been positioned ready for the weekend Canberra day festivities and of course wanted to use one - "to get the value from my taxes and be the first to try them out". I have to hold the door open in case she gets locked in, never to be released. This was the only one we opened - I hope there isn't already a granny stuck in each of the others :) 20 km cycle

What a scary, hilarious idea, I love your sense of fun in a bit of adversity.\Love the pic of them all lined up.

Strange toilets are scary and I panic within ten seconds if the door snib won't open immediately, especially in those tiny little rooms that are fully enclosed.
You are so good to your Mum.

I wish I had had the privilege of knowing your mom. She sounds like such a brilliant and funny character. I'm so glad you share little snippets of her humor and character in your posts. I hope it makes the work you're doing for her pass more easily, knowing it's also contributing to a body of work, both writing and drawing.

Very cute sketch! You've posted a number of very nice drawings since I last checked in. I like your blog very much and enjoy your writing about your bicycle trips and sketching. Wonderful idea!
