Day 307
Hot and humid again so I did an early ride without stopping to sketch as I had to be a Mum's at 10 am. She and I went to the open day at the Governor General's residence just 'round the corner' from us. There was a mandolin orchestra, an early English dance group and a community orchestra that did the 1812 overture and Peter and the Wolf. The gardens were beautifully green and shady. Mum enjoyed being a part of the crowd. In her current 'lifestyle', she is much more isolated than she would like. 17 km cycle. Lots of wheelchair pushing.

It's wonderful what you are doing to make her life easier to bear. I like the drawing - I find that musicians can be pretty good subject matter because most of their body stays put

The guy reminds me of Dave Tolley who plays the double-bass.
What a lovely day for your mother but I hope she didn't jump at some parts of the 1812 Overture which gets a bit hectic.
Nice drawing of a muso.

Great sketch! I love to draw musicians too, but don't do it enough.
