Day 230
I rode to the lake, then walked around with a friend. Later, I sketched these two - actually they were the middle two people of a group of four (part of a large, rather drunken party) but they moved before I could finish, leaving this rather strange 'couple'. I have not seen anyone hold their socks up with suspenders before! 10 km cycle, 6 km walk

Ah it's good to know that cricket and rugby are not our only cultural exports. I love the way your posts beautifully reflect the seasons.

I was thinking the same thing, about the suspenders, when I opened your blog. Glad to know it isn't some common custom there. Interesting folks!

I wondered what had happened to you Alison, I was wondering if it was the change over in computers here that you had nothing up and no comments on mine (but then I just thought people were busy). I think this pair take the cake! Suspenders to hold your socks up! wonderful I must have a go at more people, yours are getting so much more confident.

And all the time I thought Canberra people were stuffy, short back and sides kind of people! Maybe it's Sydney people on holiday though!
Your drawings of people are such fun!

Your explanation of the odd couple was hilarious! I'm really enjoying your new drawings with all the color and people. Thanks for the story you left on my blog about the shelve of retired cups that tell your history. That's a great idea and really sweet.

Great post - very funny.
Alison, how have you found this artistic journey you have been on? Is it something you would recommend others do?
