Day 225
It was 27 degrees (80 F) by 9.00am and I missed my chance for a cycle ride, but I noticed, as I was driving the car, that the Brindabellas could hardly be seen due to the smoke haze being blown from the Victorian bushfires and a blaze nearer to Canberra. In the evening, I cycled around the lake to get a good view of the sunset and hopefully feel the cool change coming in - got the sunset but not the cool change. 6 km cycle

Alison, the fires have been awful, so far we have only had a few not so big ones, but we are on watch every bad day. Interesting that Tasmania which has had far more rain than the rest of us is having such awful fires, now they will all say it is the fault of the greens!
Nice eerie pictures.

Victoria has had some torrid fires this week and the smoke covered even Melbourne and Geelong on Sunday.
