Day 207
When there have been bushfires, we usually get some lovely sunsets. I walked down to the lake looking for some good views and was taken with these shapes but didn't get quite the right pink or blue. Finnian is now through the dangerous Bass Strait and sailing down the east coast of Tasmania - the website with Captain's log is here.4 km walk

You must be relieved that she's through the Bass Strait. What a wonderful opportunity for her.

So glad you put a link in about the Duyfken. Funny that both our daughters have been on tall ships this year. Lovely sunset and sails below.

I think you probably did have the right colours for this Alison, some of ours have been quite fearsome looking.

This is quite lovely Alison! It is hard to get the colors and blends right in a sunset.

Are you getting the very red sunsets because of the fires in the Blue Mountains or other places?

The fires were a half hour's drive north of here, out by Lake George, threatening the vineyards and closing the main road to Sydney for 24 hours. Probably deliberately lit as there's beena spate of fires in the area since Sunday!

What a dreamy looking scene. It's interesting how awful things like fires can also be beautiful. You might be interested to see Dee Farnsworth's fire pictures: http://deefarnsworth.blogspot.com/
