Day 180
This little house (about 70 years old) is already part demolished - the aspestos linings in the wet areas have been removed by a specially licensed company and the rest of it will go soon. It was government owned but has now been sold to the private sector for redevelopment. For the money it earns, the government can buy several complete houses in outer suburbs but opportunities for the less well off to live in inner areas are diminished and Yarralumla gets ever posher. 6km walk

Yarralumba I presume is a suburb of 'posh' houses and ordinary. Isn't your suburb where there are some embassies? I like your investigation of different houses -what will you do with your set - place them side by side into a long wide mural?

I sometimes look at fences and prententious ones sit alongside poor old dilapidated unpainted ones.

I think I am going to do a series of houses too I think.

I think it's a shame when areas are all of one type. I love areas where the houses of both the rich and the poor and everything in between live cheek by jowl.
